Welcome New Featured Artist: DOUGLAS WILLIAMS

Last fall the Maple Valley Creative Arts Council & InfinityQuest/Isosceles Productions proudly presented their 3rd edition of the 3D Animation & Digital Art Expo held in our new Maple Valley Creative Arts Center, for one evening show only.

The expo is presented an exceptionally talented animator, Terry Hopfenspirger, showing his 3D animation and digital artwork, as well as speaking about his experiences of life within the professional Digital Art world in Seattle. We gave demonstrations of the workflow and techniques used to create stunning 3D animation and digital art by the artists who have also performed the neat trick of doing what they are passionate about for a living!

There was be a demo by Diana Fairbank of Second Life, a digital 3D cyber-world, plus a slideshow of art made in Second Life.

Plus, we welcomed two new 3D sculpture and conceptual artists, Duncan Kilgour Carey & Richard Lim , current Art Institute of Seattle students, who will display and demonstrate video game character development in 2D & 3D.

Also, we featured slideshows of artwork by Tahoma High School Art students, and other digital artists during the opening segment. A gallery display of digital artworks by Maple Valley Creative Arts Council members will remain in place through the following weekend's Open Mic Night at the Creative Arts Center.

3D Glasses will be provided for you to keep with admission, so you can continue to enjoy the full 3D experience of other sources freely available, and perhaps, to facilitate making your own 3D art and animations! We are planning to hold workshops for those interested, in the future.
